FOGLIFTING

According to today's Wall Street Journal, since 2004 Washington's deficit spending has "tumbled by $251 billion" [$1,640 for each individual taxpayer].  This is including $150-$200 billion [$980-1,310 per taxpayer].

They are getting ready to spend $286 billion over the next 5 years [$374 per year per taxpayer] to pay back wealthy farmers for their generous campaign contributions. 

Lowering the National Debt is nice, but its being done by HIGHER tax revenue from you and me.   That's like paying for you credit card bills by taking money from a relative.  They have not earned anything and need to reduce their share of OUR earnings.

SPACE TRAVEL AT $121 PER YEAR

NASA's space shuttle program would get a $1 billion boost under a measure passed by the Senate on Thursday, as lawmakers fretted that U.S. space exploration could be overshadowed by Russia, China or India...

The increase in space funding came on the 50th anniversary of the Soviet Union's surprise launch of the Sputnik 1 satellite, marking the start of the space age and a race with the United States on developing technology to sustain manned missions in outer space.

The legislation would give NASA about $18.5 billion [$121 per taxpayer] for the year, including $2.2 billion [$14 per taxpayer] for space station operations.

H.R. CLINTON WANTS YOU TO GIVE ANOTHER $131 PER YEAR TO CHARITY (?)

Over their 63-year history, the United Negro College Fund has raised over $2.5 billion to help the disadvantaged go to college.  Enter Mrs. Rodham Clinton. What a fund-raiser! She has discovered a way to raise $20 BILLION A YEAR. Wow!

WHO IS SPENDING $19,000 OF YOUR MONEY

“Messieur, your pocket has just been picked!” In milliseconds my husband’s wallet was snatched from his person when he reached up to steady himself while riding the subway in Paris. All that went though my mind was "Oh No, Not Us!" while desperately looking around at a throng of people, anyone of whom could have been the thief. The most heart sinking feeling I’ve ever had; for my husband, anger for the torture of replacing his wallet contents.

Having your pocket picked is horrible, but what if you actually catch them with their hand in your pocket and manage to look the villain directly in the eye...
